This does however leave the ship less vulnerable to splash from high explosive shells, as far fewer crew are in exposed or unarmoured positions when compared to her sister ship, USS Helena, which is in a later configuration. With only 8 heavy machine guns, this will do almost nothing to protect the ship against enemy air. Introduced in Update 1.87 "Locked On", USS Brooklyn is in her 1941 refit, and as this was completed, her anti-aircraft battery is quite small. Postwar, she was put into reserve in 1947, before being transferred to the Chilean Navy in 1951, being renamed to "O'Higgins" and serving for another 40 years. Laid down in 1933, she would enter service in 1937 and serve throughout World War Two, notably taking part in the Battle of Casablanca and providing fire support for the Invasion of Sicily and the Anzio-Nettuna landings before providing naval gunfire for the Allied troops landing in southern France. Brooklyn-class, USS Brooklyn (CL-40), 1941 is the lead ship of the Brooklyn class of light cruisers.
